Waterspouts Come Back Late to Top Sweathogs
The Honolulu Waterspouts defeated the El Paso Sweathogs, 12-9, at Coconuts Park today. Leading the charge for Honolulu was right fielder Jared McLaughlin. He was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 runs. Honolulu reliever Israel Garcia picked up the win, upping his record to 6-2. Jeff Phillips was saddled with the loss. Honolulu is now 38-20. El Paso is 25-33.

Honolulu took the lead in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and the bases loaded, Chris Kriske stroked a run-scoring single to make it 9-8, Waterspouts.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," McLaughlin told reporters after the game.
