Tempest Edge Knoxville in Pitching Duel

Fans who gathered at Smith and Wesson Field saw a good contest between the New Haven Tempest and Knoxville Running Rebels.
New Haven got an elite performance from starting pitcher Philip Lundholm in taking a 1-0 decision over the Knoxville Running Rebels. Lundholm, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 5 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 1 walk.
The Tempest got a big at-bat from first baseman Zhong-qi Huang. For the game, Huang went 2-3 with a home run and a double. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave New Haven a 1-0 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Huang said after the game.
The win gives New Haven a record of 4-3.
