Tempest Sneak Past Devil Bears, 3-2
|
New Haven Tempest starter John Quinn was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Bangor Devil Bears, 3-2. The last-place Devil Bears have dropped 4 straight games.
The Tempest got a big at-bat from third baseman Caleb Zimmer. For the game, Zimmer was 3 for 5 with 3 singles. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 88th hit of the season gave New Haven a 3-2 lead.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said New Haven manager Brandon Eberle.
