Kingfishers Blank Honolulu, Lopez Winner Sunday, August 16th, 2026 Arturo Lopez held the Honolulu Waterspouts to 4 hits and fashioned a fine 7-0 shutout at Coconuts Park today. Speaking after the game, Corpus Christi Kingfishers manager Kevin Purcell said "Lopez had everything going for him today." He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful." Lopez had rang up 6 strikeouts and surrendered 4 walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario told reporters. Lopez has started 25 times this year, pitched 144 innings, fanned 99 batters and walked 70.
