Murphy Extends Hit Streak to 20 Games

El Paso's George Murphy was 3-for-5 in the Sweathogs 9-8 victory over the Albuquerque Turkeys. That stretched his hitting streak to 20 games.

In the clubhouse after the win, the 32-year-old Murphy told reporters, "I'm in a groove right now, and I am trying to stay there by doing the same things over and over again. If I change something, it might bring me bad luck."
George Murphy grounded out in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Lou Aucoin in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.

This season Murphy has hit at a .291 clip and produced 68 runs batted in, 26 home runs and 65 runs.
