Ice Sox Cruise to Division Series with Sweep Thursday, October 8th, 2026 Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Patriot League Wildcard Series. It turned out quite a bit different. The Anchorage Ice Sox swept aside the Bismarck Dire Wolves to advance to the Division Series, winning the final game by a 6-5 score at Cabela's Park. The series MVP was center fielder Daisuke Kato, who hit .500 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 1 RBI and scored 1 runs. "We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
