Tempest Dominate, Sweep League Championship Series Saturday, October 24th, 2026 The New Haven Tempest have swept the Honolulu Waterspouts and are on to the World Series. New Haven won 11-10 today at Flagship Field to clinch the League Championship Series. "We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said New Haven first baseman Gavin Hoopengardner, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning." Hoopengardner won the award with a .412 batting average and a .444 on-base percentage.
