Cheesepressers, Waterspouts Swap Players Monday, December 10th, 2018 Both sides appear content with the trade finalized today that will send 27-year-old 2B Francisco Romo and 23-year-old RHP Neal Drinkwater to the Honolulu Waterspouts, while the Toledo Cheesepressers will receive 34-year-old LHP Lorenzo Sierra. "This is a move that filled a few gaps in our roster," said the Cheesepressers general manager. For his part, the Waterspouts GM said the trade was made "in the best interest of our organization's future." BNN analysts reported that on paper the trade seemed to be a plus for both ball clubs. The players involved are expected to join their new teams for the next scheduled game. For his career Romo has hit at a .238 clip. Among his lifetime numbers are 168 hits, 38 doubles, 4 triples, 13 home runs and 76 RBIs. Sierra has registered 91 saves in his career and held opposing hitters to a .193 batting average with 238 strikeouts in 156.2 innings. In 150 games he has a 12-8 record and a 1.95 ERA. |
