It was a fun time at Velveeta Field, where the Saskatoon Platoon and Toledo Cheesepressers tangled.

Toledo Cheesepressers starter Lance McFarlen was in fine form against the Saskatoon Platoon at Velveeta Field, leading his team to a 5-3 win. Toledo reliever Doug Briere was credited with the win, to go to 5-0. John Lee took the loss for Saskatoon.

A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 3rd and two out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when third baseman Curt Nykanen, who is on pace for 104 RBI this season, drew a walk. The Cheesepressers went on to win.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," McFarlen told reporters after the game.

Toledo leads the United League East Division by 15½ games.
