Kevin Klinger never let the Cheesepressers get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Kingfishers to a 2-1 win. Terry Farrow was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 8 of 10 save opportunities. Corpus Christi has now won 3 straight, while the Cheesepressers have lost 3 in a row.
Klinger, who was born in Lincolnia, Virginia, threw 78 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing 1 earned run.
