Toledo rode a good effort from starter John Broussard to beat the Honolulu Waterspouts at Velveeta Field. The final score was 4-1. Broussard got the win, improving to 6-8. He allowed 1 hit and walked 1 over 7 innings. Broussard allowed 1 earned run. John Baxter converted his 16th save in 19 tries.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 3rd and two out in the bottom of the fifth inning. That's when right fielder Alex Ruiz, who is tied for 2nd in the UL in RBI with 102, got hit by a pitch. The Cheesepressers went on to win.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Broussard said after the game.

Toledo is now 70-56, 5½ games up in the United League East Division.
