Tempest Lose to Cheesepressers, 5-2
|
Toledo Cheesepressers starter Chris Matula was in fine form against the New Haven Tempest at Velveeta Field, leading his team to a 5-2 win. The Cheesepressers own a robust 85-47 mark.
With runners on 1st and 2nd and two out in the bottom of the first inning, first baseman Mario Isidro delivered big for the Cheesepressers. Toledo was leading 1-0 when he belted a 3-run home run.
"We've got a great group of guys," Isidro said, "and we're having fun right now."
