Waterspouts Stay Hot, Beat Cheesepressers
|
The Honolulu Waterspouts and Toledo Cheesepressers completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Despite a fine performance by catcher Aaron Short, the Toledo Cheesepressers suffered a 9-6 loss to the Honolulu Waterspouts. Short slugged 2 home runs. The Cheesepressers, at 78-71, have lost 4 straight games.
Bubba Miller was a key contributor to the win for the Waterspouts. In the bottom of the third with no one out, the light-hitting third baseman stroked a single to right. He was 1 for 4 with a walk, while scoring 2 runs.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Honolulu manager Claribette Del Rosario.
