Getting an impressive start from Wilber York, Toledo beat Knoxville by the score of 4-2. York went 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 5, and struck out 4. His record improves to 14-10. The first-place Cheesepressers raised their record to 90-50.
In the top of the first, Phil Hubbard hit a solo home run for Toledo. The 12th home run of the season for the Toledo right fielder put the Cheesepressers on top, 1-0.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Toledo skipper Matt Perrone.
