Pride Curb Waterspouts, 4-1

The Savannah Pride got a stellar effort from pitcher Bret Rubbo, helping Savannah score a 4-1 win over the visiting Honolulu Waterspouts. Luis Ramirez finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Waterspouts fall to 7-11 and continue to sputter in the early going.
The Pride beat the Waterspouts in part due to timely hitting. Case in point: the two-out single Malcolm Grissett produced in the bottom of the fourth. Batting against Honolulu pitcher Zhen-ying Chen, Grissett gave his team a 2-1 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Grissett. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
