Benefiting from Brian Richardson's productive game, the New Haven Tempest downed the Savannah Pride, 8-4. Richardson was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Tempest. New Haven, now 2-1, has gotten their season off to a good start.

Ben Dimitri helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a run-scoring single to give New Haven a 1-0 lead.

"We take it day by day here," said Dimitri, "and today was a good one for us."
