Davis 3-5, Warlocks Move to 27-13
The Wichita Warlocks beat the Toledo Cheesepressers, 6-4, at Velveeta Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Taylor Davis, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Josh Nichols got credit for the save for Wichita. It was his 8th of the year. The winning streak has now reached 8 games for the Warlocks.

Davis had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Jayden Lamb, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Warlocks a 4-3 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Davis.

"There's a lot of passion in our clubhouse," said Davis. "When we put it together we're a great ball club."
