Cheesepressers Lose, 10-5, at Smith and Wesson Field
The Knoxville Running Rebels beat the Toledo Cheesepressers, 10-5, at Smith and Wesson Field. The Running Rebels got a fine performance from first baseman Preston Fennell, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Running Rebels saw their win-loss record go to 16-31. At the same time, the Cheesepressers fell to 32-14.

Jared Beck drove in one run for Knoxville. The 31-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Lance McFarlen. It was his 11th RBI of the season.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Beck told the Knoxville Gazette.
