Narrow Win Takes New Haven Streak to 9
The Tempest faced a stiff challenge from Duluth pitcher Alec Spinks, but persevered to claim a win at Flagship Field. The final score was 7-6. Spinks went 6.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Reliever Mike Kemp picked up the win. His record improves to 3-1. John Barnum took the loss. The Lumberjax, at 19-43, have lost 8 straight games.

Bill Radcliff was one of the major contributors to the win for New Haven. The light-hitting right fielder stroked a single to center in the bottom of the 17th inning. For the day, he was 3 for 8 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI.

"It wasn't our best performance," said Radcliff, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
